DiscograPHY AND BOOKS

The first experience with a recording company dates back to 1994 for the 15th year of the Choir foundation. At the recording studio "Regson" in Milan, after about a dozen rehersals, we recorded our first cassette called "15 years of choral singing."

After five years, in 1999, for the 20th year of the foundation, our choirmaster decided that the time was ripe for a further effort, and we began in February 1999, in the beautiful Church of St. George in Origgio, the recordings for the first CD that was to collect the best of our repertory.

This time we decided for a recording in a church because it ensured a better sound and made the actual value of the choir more authentic without too much distortion.

Thanks to the sound engineers Mark Augusti and Aldo Roscius the result of the product was appreciated both by professional and amateurs critics.

The new CD was presented in October of the same year, at the “Serata di Canto Corale” held in Origgio, guest Friend the Choir "Edelweiss" from Treviso, who sponsored it.

In 2013, the year for the celebration of the 35th foundation anniversary, in consideration of the difficult economic times, we collected and selected our best performances from the last four years of concerts (2009-2012) in a "LIVE CD" with 18 folksongs from our most favourites authors. Notwithstanding the noise effects of the recording itself, due to the use of non-professional means and the presence of the public, the idea of a "LIVE" CD has aroused much curiosity and success for the listener who has enjoyed our product.

Maybe it was a gamble, but  we basically believe that a "LIVE" CD is always more faithful than a long and tiring work in a recording studio, even from an economic viewpoint. This is even more true, if one considers that the choirs of popular inspiration like Amici della Montagna Choir , have no revenues from royalties, but make recordings just to leave a memory in time.
